Notice of 30-Day Public Comment Period and Notice of Public Hearings
The Victoria Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (MPO) FY 2022 Annual List of Projects (APL) will be available for citizen review/comment beginning Friday, May 5 through Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Copies of the FY 2022 APL will be available at the City of Victoria’s Development Services office, located at 700 Main Center, Suite 129 and placed on the City’s MPO Webpage. The FY 2022 APL is a report produced each year that provides a list of all transportation projects that received federal obligation in FY 2022 (October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022). Obligated projects are those that have been approved by the federal government for reimbursement.
An initial public hearing will be held on the Draft FY 2022 APL, as is required per 23 CFR § 450.334(c), on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Public Works Facility Training Room, 1301 SW. Ben Jordan St, Victoria, Texas. A second and final public hearing will be held on the FY 2022 APL on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 prior to final approval and adoption. All interested parties are encouraged to attend or submit comments.
Comments must be submitted in writing and should include the sender’s full name and physical address. Comments may be sent electronically to mbergeron@victoriatx.gov or by to mail to: City of Victoria’s Development Services Department, P.O. BOX 1758, Victoria, TX 77901-1758. All comments will be included in the final FY 2022 APL. After the public comment period has expired the Final FY 2022 APL will be submitted to the Texas Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, and the Federal Transit Administration on June 13, 2023.
Public Notice of Fare Reinstatement
The Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission (GCRPC) is seeking public input regarding a planned fare reinstatement for its public transportation services. GCRPC is preparing to reinstate pre-COVID-19 fare prices on September 1, 2023. The changes will include all Victoria Transit routes and rural Victoria Demand Response services.
GCRPC will be hosting a public meeting to discuss fare reinstatement on June 28, 2023, at 1908 N.
