National Night Out

National Night OutSince 1984 National Night Out has been enhancing relationships between the community and law enforcement while providing a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits.

In Texas, National Night Out is celebrated on the first Tuesday in October.

  • Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

Community Safety Fair & Kick-off Party

Our Safety Fair and Kick-Off Party for this year will be held virtually due to the COVID19 pandemic.  Please tune into the VPD Facebook page starting Monday, September 21, 2020 for entertaining/informative videos from our community partners.

Neighborhood Block Parties

On Tuesday, October 6, 2020 between 6 pm and 9 pm, residents of Victoria are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors. Simply knowing your neighbors is one of the most effective methods to prevent crime. Police and Fire Department personnel will stop by to visit with many of the residents whose parties are registered with the Police Department. Please register your national night out event by 12 noon on Monday, September 28.
