Josephine E. Soliz is the City Council representative for District 2/Mayor Pro Tem. She is the president of Golden E. Corporation. Soliz is from Victoria and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Victoria. She is a member of the Victoria Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Committee. She was first elected to the City Council in 2012. She served on the VSTC for 6 years.
Under the City Charter, Soliz is fulfilling the duties of mayor after the passing of former Mayor Rawley McCoy on March 5. This transition ensures the continuity of our City Council, and our city manager form of government ensures that daily operations will carry on without interruption.
