It is with great pleasure that I present the new Strategic Plan for Victoria Public Library. Our plan is based on input from community representatives as well as data from community surveys and feedback from the library advisory board and library staff. This plan is a blueprint for the priorities and strategies of the library for the next 5 years. It will also ensure that the library remains current and relevant to the community and is meeting community needs.
In the next 5 years our focus will be on supporting our youngest users and their caregivers in beginning an exciting journey of literacy and reading; helping users of all ages to become more comfortable and proficient in finding, evaluating and using information of all kinds; celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of our community and encouraging all members of Victoria to begin and continue their journey of learning at the library.
I am excited to have the opportunity over the next 5 years to work with the library staff and board to make this vision a reality and develop Victoria Public Library into a place where the journey begins.
